Grand Opening of Hudson Eats at Brookfield Place

Probably one of the fanciest, swankiest (is that even a word?) food courts launched last night at Brookfield Place. It's called Hudson Eats and is now home to some of the coolest eateries around, such as Black Seed Bagels, Sprinkles Cupcakes, Blue Ribbon Sushi, Dig Inn, and many more.

Amanda and I were lucky enough to sample EVERYTHING and our favorites were the following:

1. Sprinkles Cupcakes

They made cute, 'doggie-sized' cupcakes that were easy to pop in your mouth. Pop. Pop. Pop. The vanilla cupcake was delicious: moist, not too sweet, with just the right amount of icing to compliment the spongy goodness beneath.

2. Umami Burger
These cool kids were serving sushi grade tuna mixed with avocado and other good stuff all served in a logo-stamped bun. Seriously, I didn't hear all the ingredients that the guy said because I was too busy eating this lovely savory surprise.

3. Chopt
These crunchy edible spoons were so smart and perfectly thought out! The guys there were full of smiles too, which made us smile even more as we stuffed our faces.

4. Tartinery

This modern-day French bistro serves classic, open sandwiches. Simple ingredients + fresh bread = a gourmet experience.

Another notable mention was Dig Inn. They had a number of different, fresh, healthy offerings, but to be honest our eyes only saw spicy meatballs. These were super easy to eat on sticks and the tomato sauce miraculously stuck to the ball as I grabbed it... but I didn't really wait for gravity to take effect - it was in my belly pretty fast.
